Chelsea are looking for an area within Stamford Bridge where Maurizio Sarri can smoke during match days, according to reports. The tobacco-loving Italian is famous for puffing on up to 80 cigarettes a day.

The 59-year-old was known for even smoking fags on the touchline during his time at Napoli. But in the UK smoking was banned in workplaces and enclosed public spaces in 2006, with the ruling extending to football stadiums.

So Chelsea will have to find a specific area or room where Sarri can light up at Stamford Bridge, according to the Mirror.

The Blues’ first home game of the season comes against Arsenal, who visit Stamford Bridge on August 18 in a 5.30pm kick off.

RB Leipzig built him a smoking room within the changing room ahead of their Europa League clash with Napoli last season.

And Chelsea could do something similar at their West London ground. Sarri’s Blues face Perth Glory today in their first pre-season friendly since winning the FA Cup under Antonio Conte last season.

And the gaffer’s former boss at Napoli has taken a parting shot at his former employee for trying to poach the Serie A club’s best players, after they signed Jorginho for £57million
