It was reported that Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, led the race on Saturday with 254,698 votes, 353 votes more than Oyetola Of All Progressive Congress (APC)
The margin was, however, less than the 3,498 votes in the polling units where voting was canceled.
Consequently, the Returning Officer for the election, Professor Joseph Afuape, declared the poll inconclusive.
Tomorrow, Thursday 27th September 2018 has been fixed for the rerun of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the affected areas.

Meanwhile, some of the APC elders like Minister Of Information Lai Mohammed, Ekiti Ste Governor-Elect, Kayode Fayemi, and the National Chairman, Adam Oshiomole was pictured with Iyiola Omisore to support the ruling party for the re-run election which will commence tomorrow.
